Don't miss this week's Sports Legends New England show with Carl (Yaz) Yastrzemski.
In the spring of 1961, a 21-year old kid from Long Island stepped in to the Red Sox locker room with the weight of world on his shoulders.
He was the man destined to succeed the "Greatest Hitter of All Time" Ted Williams. Carl Yastrzemski played 23 years for the Red Sox and created his own legend, including the 1967 Triple Crown. But it almost didn't happen.
In an interview with Bob Lobel and Jack Heath, Yaz sat down for the Sports Legends' cameras in the Red Sox dugout to discuss his career and how the shadow of Ted Williams nearly overcame him. It's Yaz like you've never seen him before.
Tune in to MyTV this Saturday at 6pm.
